About Us

The Phoenix Retreat holiday bungalow is owned and run by Phoenix Care At Home Ltd.

Phoenix Care At Home Ltd is owned and managed by Carol Swann and Carol Earner. We provide domicilary care to people living in their own homes in the Braunton and surrounding area, which is based in North Devon.

We are a small agency with only 15 staff but can offer a friendly personal service. We are rated EXCELLENT through what was formerly (CSCI) Commission for Social Care Inspectors, now (CQC) Care Quality Commission.

We started the disabled holiday let business because we identified a need for self catering accommodation which can cater for people with a full range of disabilities, and not just disabled friendly.

We have used our experience and knowledge of the care industry when adapting the bungalow, along with the guidance of the National Accessible Scheme, who have rated us M3A and 4 Stars for Quality.

As well as providing self catering accommodation we can provide care to our guests should they require it whilst on holiday. This would be charged for acordingly through our care agency. You could arrange this on a private basis, or you could ask your local authority, if you receive direct payments or some other funding to contact us where we could arrange it through them, assuming it is something they would fund.
